Story Behind the Painting
The Garden of Luxembourg is one of the most beautiful parks anyone could ask for with beautiful flowers and sculptures. This government building is quintessential, decadent French Baroque architecture. I wanted to capture the detail of this beauty as stark contrast to the events of the day - this was the second day in Paris with Alan and the day I got the "I'm not serious about you" spiel. My tears could have probably filled this fountain. At least I was later able to put frosting on this bad experience - how Marie Antoinette!
