Story Behind the Painting
This painting is also from my romantic trip with Alan after staying a night in Strasbourg, France. The Haute Koenigsbourg is about 45 min south at the top of a mountain. There is a very cute little town at the base where we had lunch. I had some fantastic duck/game entree - the special of the day. Unluckily for Alan, my French was still a bit rusty - he got stuck with cold cuts!
I made this painting a bit on the moody side - I wonder what it would have been like to be cooped up in this tower during one of the many French/German conflicts 500 years ago.
