Story Behind the Painting

Heavenly has got to be the best ski resort in the US from both a scenic and weather perspective. Lake Tahoe is supposed be the clearest lake in California. It is very deep - if you get skiing to fast - you feel like you're going to plunge right in down the hill.

This painting is all about the trees. I went to Lake Tahoe a couple times as a kid (3-5th grade) for nature field trips. I think I also got a girl scout badge up here. My mom was the troop leader. I went back later as an adult to ski with a "just for fun" boyfriend.
