Story Behind the Painting
This is a plein air painting of my backyard in Crystal Lake. We live on a heavily wooded property. I like the way light hits pockets of the barn and the red leaves create a pathway to the gate. Because of the tree complexity, I had to paint this over a several day period whenever we had a sunny day.
